What kind of beetle is this?

Ok, so its about 2 inches long and is black most of its body, but kinda fades to a medium brown right at its butt. it has 6 legs like any beetle, and has two tiny pincers right at the front of its face. they are kind shaped like half moons with a little more curve to them. its antennas are very long and are just made of a whole bunch of segemnts. they are serated or anything. most beetles are really skinny and long, but this one is like pretty wide. he looks like a very nice beetle, hes just really big and gross. i live in atlanta if that has anything to do with what type of beetle he is.
