Was this wrong of my friend?

There was this boy in are grade she used to like cause he's reallly hot...but she stopped cause hes a total asshole expecially to her and calls her ugly and fat and is soo mean to her but its only to her hes nice to me and im friends with him too...he doesnt like her cause i know who he likes. Well me and myfriend were walking and we saw him and his friends there jerks too so he went up to her and was like extra mean and was like i hate you and your gross get outta my life(she did nothing to him) and so he was standing on this 15 foot ledge and she pushed him off cause she got soo mad he fell on his hip and pelvis and discloated his hip and broke his pelvis, he was just laying on the ground almost in tears so my friend got nervous so she ran away thankfully his friend called 911 cause he was really hurt...he's not gnna press charges on her but was this wrong??? Even tho he kinda started it. She feela really bad and says she didnt mean too...but was this wrong??
