Should all dogs from reputable breeders be the same price?

Generally much more expensive to buy a dog of a breed riddled with health problems and inbreeding depression (one of tha major causes of small litters) or that requires intervention in order to breed, but after all, you need to show you can afford to take care of these dogs, who will likely require extensive and expensive vet care throughout their lives.
