Laser hair removal - shedding?

Hi there - two weeks ago I had my first laser brazilian treatment at a reputable clinic which used Candela Gentlelase. The area is now comprised of four visible sections - in two, the hair has completely shed, and in the other two, the hair is growing as if it had not been treated. Is this normal?
